What We Offer.

At SWAY, we offer the latest techniques in eyebrow tattooing from Microblading to Soft Ombre Brows or a combination of both. Every treatment is designed to enhance your natural features and fit effortlessly into your lifestyle.

Your final technique is always selected in-studio after a thorough consultation and brow analysis, ensuring the most flattering, long-term result.

We also offer flexible pricing based on artist experience and skill level. Our Principal Artist offers both Microblading and Ombre Brows, while our Cosmetic Tattoo Artist, Dayzee, currently specialises in Ombre Brows only. This gives you options to suit your desired style, price point, and availability without compromising on quality.

MICROBLADING (FEATHER BROWS)

Fine, hair-like strokes are created using a handheld tool to mimic the look of natural brow hairs. Best suited to dry or normal skin types for a soft, feathered finish.

OMBRE BROWS

A soft, shaded brow that gradually transitions from lighter at the front to more defined through the arch and tail. Known for its versatility, longevity, and beautifully healed results across all skin types.

COMBINATION BROWS

A blend of both hair-like strokes and soft shading offering the definition of Ombre with the added texture of Microblading. Ideal for those wanting the best of both techniques.

YOUR COSMETIC TATTOO GUIDE

Please read the following information thoroughly.

Cosmetic Tattooing is considered a permanent procedure as you cannot wash your result off. However, your body will naturally metabolise the pigment slowly over the years. It generally lasts 1-10 years and can last even longer. Traces of pigment will always be present.

Our line of pigments are carbon-based and contain no nickel or heavy metals. The ingredients are a combination of powdered pigments, glycerin, witch hazel, isopropyl alcohol, distilled water, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, aqua, rosin, and DMDM hydantoin. These are safe, non-reactive substances that have been specifically designed & manufactured for implantation into the human skin. They are gamma-ray sterilised, vegan, and cruelty-free.

The pigments that will be used are carefully selected to suit you. The pigment colours are chosen by assessing the following factors: your skin tone, the colour of your hair, the colour of your eyes and other factors such as personal preference.

The shape will be carefully mapped and measured, then drawn during your consultation, you will have many opportunities to assess this process and tattooing will only begin once you have agreed that you are happy to proceed and that you love the shape we have designed for you.

Your appointment includes a thorough consultation along with an aftercare kit

All cosmetic tattoo treatments are completed over two sessions with payment broken into two parts. Your touch up appointment is required 6-12 weeks after your first session. This can be booked in at your first appointment. Alternatively, you are welcome to book your touch up in at the same time you book your first appointment.

Pain level: Most people find that the procedure is extremely tolerable and would rate their pain a 1/10 for eyebrows/eyeliner and a 3/10 for Lips. Numbing cream will be used throughout your treatment to keep you comfortable.

Preparing for your appointment: It is important that you prepare for your appointment to promote proper healing, reduce the risk of complications, reduce discomfort and ensure optimal results.

  • Refrain from active skincare that will thin/sensitise the skin on your face six weeks prior to your appointment. (Retinoids, Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, Chemical Peels etc.)
  • Do not consume any alcohol, fish oil, caffeine, or take any blood thinners such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen or Niacin 48 hours before your procedure; this may cause excess bleeding and may affect your results. If you are medically prescribed blood thinners and rely on them, please let us know.
  • It is not possible to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, sunburn or moles in or around the brow area.
  • Cosmetic botox or fillers should be done two weeks prior or two weeks after your appointment.
  • You will not be able to receive a tattoo service if you are pregnant
  • You will not be able to receive a tattoo service if you have used accutane medications in the last six months
  • If you have diabetes or an auto-immune disorder, you must have a letter of clearance from your Doctor. No guarantees can be made on how the pigment will heal/take in your skin.

Aftercare instructions can be found here.

Long-Term Care: As cosmetic tattoos age, the pigments beneath your skin may alter over time.

The pigments initially implanted into your dermis will break down at different speeds; this is because some molecules are harder for your body to metabolise, and some molecules cannot be metabolised at all. If your body is holding onto certain molecules, it is common to be left with hues of colours, which may require neutralisation. Neutralisation is the process of implanting complementary pigments to attempt to bring the colour back to its original state.

To maintain your cosmetic tattoo long term, you will need to come in every one to three years for a refresh or whenever they have faded by 50% (whichever comes sooner)

If you have previous work from another artist, please email a clear photo of your brows to swaycosmetictattoo@gmail.com for a complete assessment. If suitable you will be given approval to book online. Please note as you are a new client of Sway Cosmetic Tattoo, you are required to book in at the New Service price (refresh prices are reserved for existing clients only)

FAQs

Who cannot get cosmetic tattooing?
  • Pregnant women
  • People below the age of 18
  • Been on any Accutane (must be off for 1 year)
  • Prone to Keloid scarring
  • Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation (we require a letter from your GP giving us the clear to perform the treatment)
We strongly advise that you book your touch up at the same time you book your first tattoo appointment with us or at the latest, when you arrive home after your initial appointment. If you leave booking it in too late then you may exceed that period and be charged as a 3-6 month touch up instead as we are generally booked out a month in advance.
Brow corrections are taken on a case by case basis. If you have had previous work, please send us a photo of your brows or book in for a free consultation. Please note, if accepted, New clients are charged new prices. Alternatively, brow removal may be advised before we are able to proceed with treatment.
Measuring techniques are used to obtain equal symmetry in your brows before tattooing will commence. Once the brow shape is mapped out and drawn up you will get to see the shape and alter anything you’d like before starting.
You will get a chance before the tattooing starts to have your input and alter the pencil drawn shape to your desired result. Make sure you are 100% happy with the drawing before we tattoo as changing the shape down the track once already tattooed may not be possible without removal which will be at your expense and not ours.
We have a large range of colours that can either be mixed to make up your brow hair colour or we can match to how you normally would fill them in. We also take into account whether your skin is warm or cool toned.
If you have ever had a cold sore you will need to get over the counter medication to prevent it from happening prior to your tattoo appointment. The trauma caused during a lip tattoo will bring the virus up and make you get a cold sore. If you have taken the preventative medication this also does not mean that you are 100% protected. Getting a cold sore during healing will sometimes stop the colour from healing correctly into that area.
Yes, everything used at Sway Cosmetic Tattoo is vegan friendly.
Don’t worry! The style can be chosen at your appointment. Though the following skin concerns are not suitable for a feathertouch tattoo – oily skin, large pores (in forehead area), acne, rosacea, extremely dry/cracked skin (eczema), or anyone on any medications that thin your blood. If you have any of the previous listed skin concerns it is best to go for ombre shading or sometimes a combination brow. If you still have concerns, you are welcome to book in for a free consultation.
The pigment used in cosmetic tattooing is designed to fade over time which is why it is classed as semi-permanent. Everyone’s skin takes to the pigment differently and results may differ for each individual. Brow tattooing will last anywhere from 6-24 months before a refresh is needed. Some things that may prolong your results are putting sunscreen on when in the sun, and avoiding facial products that are made to strip or peel the skin. Lip tattooing can last anywhere between 2-5 years depending on colour choice and underlying lip colour. Eyeliner is on for life but black colour will still need to be refreshed every 5 years as black will never stay black. A cosmetic tattoo is a low maintenance procedure, not a no maintenance procedure so to maintain you should come for touch ups when required.
